I have to admit that I haven't completely embraced ebooks yet (meaning that I haven't yet read a book that way). You make some good points, a couple of which I hadn't considered before. Thanks for posting.

Wow, I'm so impressed you've got an ebook section on your blog! I love print books and always will, but ebooks are fast coming into their own for several reasons: 1. They have a much smaller carbon foot (no trees sacrificed, no water and air pollution from paper manufacture, no carbon-based inks used). 2. Old farts like me can make the print any size we want for ease of reading. 3. Because they are way less expensive to manufacture, they are cheaper to buy. 4. They take up less room on your bookshelf and are easier to lift when you move. 5. You can search electronically for that favorite passage (in some formats). 6. Instant gratification. YOu can buy them any time of the day or night and download immediately. No waiting!
Print books will always be around. If you love a book, you'll always be able to buy a print copy to display on your bookshelf, give away as a gift and hold in your hand. But I take boxes of old books to the library or WMNF book sale every year. Those books I would have been happy to read online.
